A short poem by me
We are wandering aimlessly on an open sea,
With no sail, no power, no paddle.
Drifting with the currents free,
Searching to lose life's battle.
The bos'n is a total wreck,
The first mate's lost his noodle.
The cabin boy's been hung by the neck,
The captain's in love with a poodle.
The crew stands ready to mutiny,
Just waiting for another ship to pass.
Like lemmings they will roil the sea,
'Til all are drowned at last.
For me, I billow in the wind,
With eyes that cannot view,
The chaos that surrounds me now.
The sea's no longer blue.
