Artist Passings

These artists have passed on. They are all instrumental in my life in form or fashion. I am saddened by their passing and hope they have moved on to a better place. This place is better for their having been here.

• Rand Holmes: creator of Harold Hedd underground comix
• John Buscema: most noted for Conan the Barbarian and Silver Surfer work. A master craftsman
• Gray Morrow: another master craftsman. Did Buck Rogers in the 25th Century in the 80s
• Wally Wood: discovered him in Mad and followed him until his death. He did Sally Forth and Cannon independents.
• Gil Kane: Green Lantern, Conan the Barbarian, loads of others

Gil Kane's Conan the Barbarian from Issue 130, page 17. Very few pencil marks on this page, Kane went direct to board with felt-tip marker.
